Old Sinca - rest for the soul
Particulary beauty and strong spirituality area, the village Sinca Veche is situated in a wonderful landscape at the foot of Fagaras Mountains. Here rooted Gheorghe Şincai - great historian and philologist Romanian, Nicolae Balan - Metropolitan of Transylvania and Ion Vulcan - who published his first poems of Eminescu.
Old Şinca attracts many travelers are eager to fulfill wishes as local legends say, but spiritual seekers, archaeologists, cavers, and subtle energies specialists working in paranormal phenomena. This attraction is due to a shrine known as the "Temple of Wishes". Over time this unusual phenomenon occurred which added a touch of mystery spot.
In this tour we propose to penetrate the mystery of this place legends and cut into the rock, which is said to be blessed by God and is a special place, full of energy and peace of mind apart. On the way we visit the Nature Reserve Daffodils Glade Mill Cheers (the oldest mill in the Land of Fagaras, still in use) and explore the wild beauty of nature traveling on one of the first viaduct built in Romania. We will also go horse-drawn carriage and visit a traditional sheepfold.
We are welcome in the woods for three days of relaxation, good humor and an unforgettable experience.

What we will visit?
Old cave complex in Şinca
Old Şinca attract travelers from all over the world due to legends and mysteries surrounding this place was hewn in stone, a place where it is said that they would fulfill the wishes of those who come to pray. The place is known by many names, "Temple of the Chosen" in bulk, but also "Stone Dug Monastery" or "Temple of Wishes".
From the heart of the village opens a road to the mountain. Less than a hundred meters, the road reaches Plesi Hill hiding from Şinca Old treasures - churches carved in stone, Dacian settlement, hearth monolith, healing spring, ecological park and new monastery, St. Nectarios. They say also that this occurred and paranormal phenomena, visions and premonitions. To strengthen the mystery, which are testimonies that the pictures here are white spheres appear invisible when shooting.
It is believed that the site of the Old Şinca would have 7,000 years old and orginal Dacian even more advanced. It allegedly belonged to the same civilization who founded the "White Temple" Serpents Island. Although we can not say with precision the exact date of construction of stone monastery, supported version and the most common would be the year 1742, during which Orthodox churches were banned. Surprising is the presence of two existing shrines cave dwelling that indicates pre-Christian origin.
Since ancient times, locals consider this temple a place for prayer. Legend has it that when you sit in the conical tower communicating with heaven and you want something, you will meet the requirement if you have a pure heart full of faith. First, it is good to stop at the high altar where, eyes turned skyward, you can ask forgiveness for the wrongs of life. Then, go into the next room, the small altar and pure soul, pray by candlelight. Here is another mystery of the place: the altar wall is engraved a portrait which is said to be the Saviour and two symbols that confer uniqueness of this abode - a six pointed star, hexagram, known as the Star of David or Seal of Yin-Yang circle and Solomon, both two symbols esoteric mysteries known in all schools.
Beyond the controversy and speculation from Sinca Veche Temple is an ideal place for silence, the mystery and purity peculiar.
Cheers mill in Ohaba
Near Şinca Old Ohaba, the oldest mill still grinds Land of Fagaras. It is a water mill that works perfectly in spite of its more than 130 years of activity. The mill stones were brought from France in 1873 and were never replaced.
For tourists who deviate through this area of Fagaras, with destination Şinca Old and cave monastery complex, a stop at the Ohaba water mill completes the experience rustic, village life as preserved in fragments of old. For survived more than a century mill in Ohaba, he was also called Mill luck.
Daffodil Glade Nature Reserve
Natural Reserve Dumbrava Vad, often known as the Daffodil Glade Poiana Vad, as locals call it, is the largest nature reserve in Europe, spread over an area of 400 hectares.
The increase was favored daffodils primarily podzolic soil with traces of marsh and weak shadows of the trees. Millions of daffodils bloom, especially in May of each year, in some places even exceeding 150 threads per square meter. Locals called them coprine and take pride in this place that God has endowed the village.
The beauty of the place has attracted thousands of tourists and not only. Dumbrava Vad was a great decor of an episode of the Romanian nation Şoimăreşti feature film, adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Mihail Sadoveanu.

Viaduct Podu 'Ilii and railway tunnel
On August 29, 1908 rail Fagaras - Brasov built between 1906-1908 by Tivadar Beldy concession by construction firms Budapest Max Schiffer and Mendel & Revesz. Between nine and Halta Şinca station Homorod Valley first two viaducts were built railway from Romania made with reinforced concrete arches by Prof. Dr. Szilard Zielinsky projects Polytechnic Institute in Budapest. After over 30 years of operation in 1948 Homorod Valley track - Nine Şinca was dismantled and the two viaducts along with Diana Tunnel (535m) were abandoned.
